Visionstate’s Revolutionary WANDA Device Sees Accelerated Sales

WANDA won the 2018 CSSA Innovation Award and will be featured at the annual BOMEX conference being held in Calgary, Alberta October 1st to 3rd

EDMONTON, Alberta, Sept. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Visionstate Corp. (TSX-V: VIS) (“Visionstate” or the “Company”) today announced updates on the sales and distribution of its Internet of Things (IoT) touch-screen solution device WANDA that tracks cleaning, maintenance and supply utilization in both public and private facilities such as hospitals, airports, shopping centres, arenas and office buildings.

Recent milestones include:

  • Seven WANDA units sold in a new location, a hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
  • Five WANDA units sold to a new customer, a shopping mall in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Two additional WANDA units purchased by Transport Canada’s Edmonton International Airport.
  • Several new pilot projects underway including: a hospital in Edmonton, Alberta testing one WANDA unit, and another major Canadian airport testing five WANDA units.
  • Internationally, pilot projects are also kicking off in the United Kingdom and Australia with large, global companies.

The growth in sales and the sales pipelines are indicative of the growth of IoT in the building services space, as building operators continue to look toward the use of analytics in their decision making.  WANDA will be featured at the annual BOMEX conference being held in Calgary, Alberta on October 1st to 3rd. BOMEX is the largest conference of its kind in Canada, catering to the commercial real estate sector.

Moving forward, Visionstate is planning to release a mobile version of WANDA, the development of which is already taking place. The new app will greatly enhance current sales and outreach taking WANDA outside of restroom facilities. The Company will also continue to test sensors with an aim to roll them out by Q2 2019.

“It’s exciting to see WANDA making its way into the local and international markets. Our first Australian project is underway and we are expanding our UK sales by partnering with another major worldwide distribution company.  We’ve seen significant progress recently which encourages us to move forward at a greater pace. One of the things Visionstate is focused on now is developing Internet of Things application proposals for major product manufacturers who are using our legacy software,” said John Putters, CEO of Visionstate. "Demand for IoT and data analytics solutions is booming worldwide and we are well positioned to capitalize on this large and growing market opportunity.”
