Port Aransas, Texas, Sept. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sea Oats Group today announced the groundbreaking ceremony for Cinnamon Shore South, the $1.3 billion, approximately 300-acre expansion of Cinnamon Shore on Mustang Island, will take place Friday, October 5 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Cinnamon Shore South project site, Port Aransas, with an on-site reception immediately following.

“Cinnamon Shore North has been enormously successful, with more than $250 million in sales, and is nearly sold out,” said Jeff Lamkin, CEO of Sea Oats Group, developer of Cinnamon Shore. “The beachfront development of Cinnamon Shore South will include luxury homes, Town Center residences, community pools, and plans for a boutique hotel.  The long-term master plan will more than quadruple the size of the existing community in years to come.”

Groundbreaking remarks will be provided by Jeff Lamkin, CEO of Sea Oats Group, the Cinnamon Shore realty team, and City of Port Aransas officials. Lamkin will update guests on the launch of the beachfront mixed-use development followed by a ceremony of shovels. Cinnamon Shore South’s 150-acre beachfront mixed-use development will include 3,300-foot wide beachfront access, maintained daily – almost three times the size of the beach at Cinnamon Shore North. Eventually, the development will lie on both sides of State Highway 361, about a mile south of Cinnamon Shore North, with a golf cart bridge enabling residents to easily access amenities on both sides of the highway. Cinnamon Shore South beachfront plans feature multiple swimming pools and lakes to provide refuge and enhance the landscape and an approximately 7-acre lake, one of the largest on the Texas Gulf Coast – will be encircled by a mile-long boardwalk. The development will also feature a boutique hotel with fifteen rooms, detached cottages, a spa, and Town Center shops and condominiums.
