Skilljar Adds New Languages to Award-Winning Customer Training Platform

Rapid Product Innovation and New Customer Acquisition Spur Record Growth for Seattle Startup Including Inaugural User Conference & Key Hires

SEATTLE, Oct. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Skilljar, the leading customer training platform for enterprises, today announced it has added international languages to its product offering. Skilljar customers will now be able to deliver training in eight different languages, making Skilljar a vital asset for enterprises looking to provide an immersive learning experience for students in their native languages.

Languages now available to Skilljar customers are Chinese (traditional), Japanese, Swedish, German, Portuguese, French, Spanish, and English. Customers have full control over which languages are displayed in the training portal and languages and text strings can be customized, ensuring the voice and tone of the training portal aligns with the company’s brand.

“Our goal is to make customer training and onboarding as user-friendly and enticing as possible, as properly trained users lead to lower customer churn, increased engagement, and higher lifetime customer value for B2B software companies,” said Sandi Lin, CEO, Skilljar. “By adding new language capabilities we are improving the end-user experience  and providing enterprises with an easy way to quickly and efficiently onboard their customers worldwide.”

Skilljar has experienced rapid growth in 2018 driven by continued product investments. In addition to raising a $16.4 million Series A financing round in March led by Mayfield and Shasta Ventures, Skilljar has doubled headcount and moved into new, larger offices in Seattle. The company, which began 2018 with 30 employees, and now has 63, expects to end the year with nearly 100 employees.  Skilljar has added several key executives in the last few months, most recently adding Aashish Dhamdhere as Vice President of Marketing,  and Samuel Sunderaraj as Vice President of Sales.

Skilljar is hosting its first customer conference – Connect 2018 – in November and expects more than 100 enterprises and Skilljar customers to assemble in Seattle to learn and share best practices relating to customer education. Speakers for Connect 2018 will include Suzanne Ferry, VP Global Training and Enablement, MapR and Mojtaba Navid, Commercial Analysis Manager for Autodesk.

Skilljar has also recently been recognized with the Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Award for Best LMS for External Training, the Best Customer LMS from the Talented Learning LMS awards, the 2018 Seattle Business Magazine Tech Impact Award and placement on Training Industry’s Learning Portal Companies Watch List.
