Modern Systems Gains Massive Market Traction with Record Growth and Company Momentum in 1H 2018

Modern Systems sees exponential adoption of legacy modernization projects with more than 230 percent growth from 1H 2017 to 1H 2018

DALLAS, Oct. 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Modern Systems, the leader in application modernization, today announced record growth in 2018, with a more than 230 percent increase in revenue in 1H 2018, compared with 1H 2017.

Modern Systems saw significant growth across all vertical industries, with the most significant sales increase within the public sector, manufacturing and logistics industries.

In addition, growth for Modern Systems was driven by more and more organizations looking to modernize their legacy COBOL applications to ready their business for cloud-based initiatives.

“The need for organizations to modernize their legacy systems is accelerating, and the evidence of this trajectory related to Modern Systems’ growth is clear,” said Brandon Edenfield, President and CEO of Modern Systems.  “In 1H 2018 alone, we saw more growth in new revenue than we saw in all of 2017. We don’t anticipate the market slowing down anytime soon, and look forward to leading our customers on successful transformation journeys that will allow them to embrace the full benefits of modern platforms and services.”

Key company-wide initiatives that drove growth for Modern Systems in 1H 2018 include:

  • Secured larger, repeat and wider solution scope deals with large organizations across a myriad of industries, beyond the “traditional” legacy vertical sectors such as financial services.
  • Expanded global sales, pre-sales and delivery teams around the world to meet growing customer demands.
  • Updated and enhanced service offerings to extend beyond traditional toolsets, including creation of a cloud practice and a new assessment offering. Modernization Platform as a Service (ModPaaS™) was introduced on AWS Marketplace on September 11, 2018. In addition, Modern Systems expanded its portfolio of assessments to include both operational and infrastructure assessment offerings.
  • Increased interest from organizations that need assistance developing a strategic modernization roadmap in order to move legacy workloads toward cloud ready, cloud optimized and cloud native destinations.
