ALAVIDA champions self-expression and promotes “Drink Less, Your Way” campaign

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alavida Health, a science-based virtual treatment program for heavy drinking, launched its “Drink Less, Your Way” campaign. Haber Films created the video that combines an upbeat and lighthearted tone with easy messaging, to explain how the program works and touch on a heavy subject: alcohol addiction.

The video shows the too-familiar scene of a male, sitting at the edge of the couch, flipping through channels on TV. Suddenly he’s impacted by a beer commercial, and the feeling that drinking can be an inescapable part of life. The video cuts to the narrator, explaining that “Abstinence is not a requirement” and how the program works by combining medication, therapy and easy to use technology. The man is then seen using the mobile platform, as he stands with his family on the patio, completely unaware that he even has an issue with alcohol. The video closes with the line “Drink Less, Your way.”

According to Alavida, the new motto taps into a large group of people that value their privacy and individuality. “Our differences are what make us human.” says Elliot Stone, CEO of Alavida. “It’s time we aligned treatment with the way people live today. At Alavida, that means a personalized program that doesn’t require you to put your life on hold. The treatment adapts to the person, not the other way around.” completes Stone.

Since launching in Vancouver in 2016, Alavida has expanded throughout North America to include patients in British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, California and most recently Manitoba.
