MADD Canada and Allstate Insurance Company of Canada are asking everyone to keep the scary moments at the Halloween parties and off the roads this weekend by planning ahead for a sober ride home.
“Making the choice to drive impaired can have horrific outcomes for you, your passengers and others on the road with you,” said MADD Canada National President Patricia Hynes-Coates. “If you’re going to be drinking, consuming cannabis or any other substance that may impair your ability to drive, please leave the driving to someone sober.”
Day after day, Canadians are killed and injured in impaired driving crashes. MADD Canada and Allstate Canada are asking Canadians to prevent impaired driving:
- don’t drive impaired – book an Uber, call a cab, take public transit, arrange a designated driver or plan to stay overnight;
- don’t ride with drivers who are impaired;
- if you see a driver you suspect is impaired, call 911 and report it to police.
