Successful customer app launches and strategic customer acquisitions within government sector lead list of accomplishments for healthcare’s digital health and mobile development leader

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MobileSmith (OTCBB: MOST), a leader in the digital health and mobile development sector that is reshaping traditional healthcare, today announced key customer application launches and acquisitions for Q3 2018, signaling the company’s continued strategic growth and development in the mobile health space.

Key achievements for Q3 2018 include:

  • Long-term customer, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System launched a new bariatrics app, their fourth with MobileSmith.
  • New customer, Hardtner Medical Center, went live with a new app to increase patient portal access among their rural area patient population.
  • Sarah Bush Lincoln, launched MobileSmith's first Heart Center app – an informative app with trackers, videos and tips for healthy living with COPD, diabetes and congestive heart failure.
  • Summit Health launched the MySummit Baby pregnancy app, designed to help expectant mothers navigate every step of their pregnancy from updates on their baby’s development and information on preparing for birth to appointment reminders and easy access to provider contact information. Q3 2018 also marked their four-year anniversary as a MobileSmith customer.
  • Roper St. Francis Healthcare launched a new pregnancy app, coming on the heels of a successful bariatrics app released in 2017. MobileSmith is currently working with the South Carolina-based health system on a general surgery app.
  • Richmond University Medical Center launched Hospital Access, a new app that puts the patient first and provides quick access to all the information patients need for their appointments.
  • MobileSmith secured key customer acquisitions within the government sector including the Veterans Administration (VA) and the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

“I’m extremely proud of the great strides we’ve made, not just in Q3 but throughout 2018, as our mobile applications continue to help the provider market deliver a better experience for healthcare consumers,” said Randy Tomlin, MobileSmith CEO and chairman of the board. “These new partnerships we’ve forged with the VA and TRADOC, in addition to six customer app 'go-lives,' signify our continued commitment to helping hospitals reduce costs and referral leakage, drive patient engagement and adherence, and improve HCAHPS scores and overall health outcomes.”

All of MobileSmith’s apps can be configured for specific feature set, workflow, branding, protocol, procedure, service line and more. Earlier this year, the company launched its newest suite of healthcare apps, Blueprints 2.0, which added key pre-integrated mobile functionality like self-triage, remote check-in, wayfinding and EMR interoperability.
