Hearsay Systems Names Software Industry Veteran Donna Prlich Chief Business Officer

Outcome-driven data and analytics leader joins visionary fintech company to empower advisors now and in the future

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Nov. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hearsay Systems, leader in social selling and provider of the Hearsay Advisor Cloud for the financial services industry, today announced the appointment of Donna Prlich as Chief Business Officer. Prlich brings a wealth of experience in delivering industry-leading products and solutions to market that capitalize on big data and analytics, to solve key customer pain points. At Hearsay Systems, Prlich will be responsible for global strategic business initiatives, marketing, partnerships, as well as the company's flagship Hearsay Social business.

“Anyone who meets Donna immediately understands the value she adds,” said Clara Shih, Hearsay CEO and founder. “She has an admirable grasp of data, analytics, and customers, and is an incredible leader. I'm thrilled to welcome her to the Hearsay executive team. She will play a critical role leading our team internally as well as our working closely with our customers to deliver on the immense data and digital Advisor Actions opportunity before us.”

Prlich comes to Hearsay from Pentaho (part of Hitachi Group), where she most recently led the data integration and analytics product portfolio as Chief Product Officer. Prlich started her Pentaho tenure building the product and solutions marketing team as the company transitioned from providing open-source business intelligence (BI) tools to the middle market to a big data integration and analytics leader serving large enterprises. Among other accomplishments, Prlich led a cross-departmental team to deliver an early-in-market and highly successful “Big Data Blueprints” concept, ultimately leading to one of the big data industry's largest acquisitions of Pentaho by Hitachi Data Systems in 2015.

“Hearsay is a visionary company, building an entirely new category at the intersection of data analytics and deep industry workflows on emerging consumer technologies like mobile and social,” said Ms. Prlich, new Chief Business Officer of Hearsay Systems. “Hearsay is playing a transformational role for advisors and the industry. I’m thrilled to join this outstanding team at this pivotal moment and excited to lead the company in defining a new industry norm while scaling to deliver solutions for the future.”

Prior to Pentaho, Prlich held roles at Karmasphere, one of the first big data analytics players, Actuate, and at Sun Microsystems. Prlich holds a B.A. in social sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
