The luxury lifestyle magazine honors subjects of the November Innovators issue with exclusive awards ceremony in New York City

NEW YORK, Nov. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSJ. Magazine hosted its eighth annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City last night. Ten pioneering talents, all of whom grace nine separate covers of the magazine’s highly anticipated November issue, were honored among more than 250 guests for their groundbreaking accomplishments in their respective disciplines.

Selected by WSJ. Magazine editors, the honorees were:  Herzog & de Meuron (Architecture), Ruth E. Carter (Design), John Legend (Entertainment), Ralph Lauren (Fashion), Jonah Hill (Film), David Chang (Food), Agnes Gund (Philanthropy), Nonny de la Peña (Technology) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Television).  Each winner was presented with an award designed by the 2011 Design winner, Joris Laarman.

"The ten Innovators we celebrated last night, across nine categories, are all trailblazers in their fields," said Kristina O’Neill, editor in chief of WSJ. Magazine. "It was truly inspiring to be in the same room with so many talented individuals, each of whom had the drive and courage to break with tradition as they established new ones of their own."

WSJ. Magazine’s Innovators, now in its eighth year, has become a hallmark of what our readers expect of our magazine – identifying and heralding the most influential change agents making their mark on our culture,” said Anthony Cenname, Publisher of WSJ. Magazine. “I couldn’t be prouder of the platform’s enormous growth, and am honored to celebrate this year’s remarkable Innovators with the participation of our dedicated media partners.”

WSJ.’s November issue will be available in the U.S. on November 10th.  Features on each Innovator Award recipient can be found online at wsjmagazine.com/innovators
