SANDY, Utah, Nov. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mountain America Credit Union has partnered with BYU Athletics to help fund humanitarian services and programs. With this partnership, Mountain America Credit Union committed to donate $500 for each field goal made by BYU football and $50 for every three-point basket made by BYU men’s basketball during the 2018-2019 season.

With the football season coming to a close, Mountain America Credit Union presented $6,000 to the American Red Cross at the BYU football game on November 17, 2018. An additional donation will be made at the close of the men’s basketball season for the three-point baskets.

“We are so very grateful for the partnership and support of Mountain America Credit Union,” says Margie Woodruff, Executive Director, Greater Salt Lake Area Chapter at the American Red Cross. “Their donation helps make our communities more resilient by enabling us to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters big and small.”

“We are grateful for the vital services the American Red Cross provides our communities in times of need,” says Sterling Nielsen, chief executive officer for Mountain America. “Each day, they provide hope and compassionate care that allows communities to rebuild and heal after an emergency.”
