Members of Hahn Loeser & Parks’ Construction Law Team to Speak at Three Upcoming Seminars Across Ohio

Cleveland, Ohio, Nov. 30, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CLEVELAND (Nov. 30, 2018) – Attorneys and professionals from Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP’s Construction Law Team will be presenting at both the Ohio Contractors Association’s (OCA) 36th Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio and at two programs sponsored by the National Business Institute in Northeast Ohio during the first week of December. Hahn Loeser’s Andrew J. Natale, who boasts one of the largest construction practices in the state of Ohio, will be joined by Aaron S. Evenchik and Christopher T. O’Shaughnessy of the Hahn Loeser Construction Law Team for a presentation at the OCA’s annual conference on Monday, Dec. 3 on “Managing Risk and Protecting Rewards in Design/Build Construction.”

This session will focus on design-build projects, design-build team and entity structures, and design-build contract forms and risk shifting provisions. Participants will learn about the risks and benefits of design-build construction, be able to negotiate key contract provisions, including the standard of care and limitations on liability, and be able to select the best structure for their design-build team.

In addition, Evenchik, along with other members of Hahn Loeser’s Construction Law Team including Matthew K. Grashoff, Michael B. Pascoe, Christopher St. Marie, Gregory A. Thompson and Jeffrey S. Roush, will present a double-feature presentation on “Construction Law: Advanced Issues and Answers” on Dec. 4 in Akron, Ohio and on Dec. 7 in Cleveland. These seminars, presented by the National Business Institute (NBI), are full-day programs geared to attorneys, construction professionals, engineers and real estate developers.

These presentations will expand participants’ knowledge of complicated construction project issues. The Hahn Loeser team will teach attendees how to anticipate which construction contract provisions will cause difficulties down the road, how to disentangle complex change order payment matters that arise from oral change orders and how to confidently determine which construction project delays are compensable and which are non-compensable and more.
