Vilnius District Court on 2018-10-25 announced decision, by which refuse all claims of AB MV Group Production for AB „Vilniaus degtinė“ and left registrations of various trademarks of the company, in which marks „999“ and/or „devynerios“ are used. The decision is based on rulings in other trials, where was confirmed, that these marks are generic, with a meaning of geographical indication „Trejos devynerios“. This decision has come into force. On the same day Appeal Court of Lithuania, has overruled decision of Vilnius District Court and refused claim of AB MV Groups Production in full, for the damages, related to supposedly illegal usage of the companies trademarks.
