Traffic at Paris Aéroport up by 3.8% in 2018,
at 105.3 million passengers

2018 Full Year Traffic

Paris Aéroport handled a total of 105.3 million passengers in 2018, an increase of 3.8% compared to the previous year. Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport welcomed 72.2 million passengers (+4.0%) and Paris-Orly Airport 33.1 million (+3.4%). Excluding the impact of the first semester strikes, the increase in traffic for Paris Aéroport would have been +4.5%. Traffic increased by 3.0% over the 1st half of the year and by 4.5% over the 2nd half.

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) was up (+6.0%), with a growth in the following destinations: North America (+8.7%), the French Overseas Territories (+8.6%), the Middle East (+5.8%), Asia-Pacific (+5.8%), Africa (+4.2%) and Latin America (+1.2%);
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up (+3.8%);
  • Traffic within France was down (-1.7%);
  • The number of connecting passengers has reduced by 2.5%. The connecting rate stood at 21.7%, down by 1.4 points.

Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 46.1%-owned by Groupe ADP, increased by 31.4% in 2018 to 151.6 million passengers, including, from May 2018, traffic of Antalya airport, in which TAV Airports took a stake. Passenger traffic at Santiago, 45%-owned by Groupe ADP, has risen by 8.8% in 2018, with 23.3 million passengers welcomed in 2018. Passenger traffic at Amman Airport, 51%-owned by Groupe ADP, has increased by 6.4% in 2018 to 8.4 million passengers. 

Traffic in December 2018

In December 2018, Paris Aéroport saw 8.1 million passengers; an increase of 3.2% compared to December 2017. 5.6 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (+3.7%) and 2.5 million through Paris-Orly Airport (+2.0%).

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) was up by 5.1%, with a growth in the following destinations: North America (+10.0%), the French Overseas Territories (+5.7%), Latin America (+4.0%), Asia-Pacific (+3.8%), Africa (+3.7%) and the Middle East (+1.4%);
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up (+3.6%); 
  • Traffic within France was down (-2.8%);
  • The number of connecting passengers increased by 2.4%. The connecting rate stood at 24.1%, down by 0.2 points compared  to December 2017.

Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 46.1%-owned by Groupe ADP, increased by 4.3% in December 2018.
Passenger traffic at Santiago, 45%-owned by Groupe ADP, has risen by 9.7% in December 2018.
Passenger traffic at Amman Airport, 51%-owned by Groupe ADP, increased by 9.3% in December 2018 to 0.6 million passengers.
