Texas-based trade school expands to its eighth campus and opens enrollment in Waco for medical-based programs

WACO, Texas, Jan. 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Southern Careers Institute (SCI), a Texas-based career education provider, announced today its expansion with a new campus in Waco, Texas. This campus, the eighth SCI location in Texas, launches with its suite of medical programs to students, which includes Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist and Medical Office Specialist. SCI Waco course enrollment is available to students starting today, with classes starting February 11, 2019.

The latest SCI campus introduces an array of education opportunities for individuals in the Waco area to enter the medical profession. SCI’s 30-54-week long career-based medical courses empower students with guidance on the latest medical industry practices and procedures in doctor’s offices, hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, nursing homes and public health department facilities.

“We are proud to expand SCI to Waco at a time when entry-level medical professionals are in high-demand in the area,” said Jacob Mayhew, CEO of SCI. “Our medical-based programs provide students with the resources to acquire the skillset to assist doctors, work with nurses and care for patients in their new medical career.”

The curricula are devised for aspiring medical professionals to receive career-based instruction and interactive training. Descriptions of the programs offered at SCI Waco are:
