SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 24, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gigster, a leader in developing digital transformation applications that give companies the agility to thrive in a software-defined world, announced today that Chris Keene has joined as Chief Executive Officer. He joins the Gigster team to steer the company on the back of a strong year in which the company grew more than 30% and is rapidly approaching the $50 million annual revenue run rate milestone.
Keene previously sold his company, WaveMaker, to VMware, where he redefined VMware’s strategy for cloud computing and helped drive the $400 million Pivotal spinout. As the CEO and founder of Persistence Software, he led the company to an IPO in the real-time analytics market.

In addition to a new CEO, Gigster also announced the appointment of Marque Teegardin as Chief Revenue Officer. Teegardin brings 25 years of building, growing and leading enterprise sales teams to Gigster. Teegardin grew sales by 230 percent at Mirantis and, in his most recent role at Sapho, tripled revenues in 18 months, leading to a successful acquisition by Citrix.
The company also announced today that Lori Williams - who was previously the vice president of fulfillment - has been promoted to Chief Delivery Officer. As General Manager, Williams previously led fulfillment for Appirio and at Gigster has built the customer success team, Global Talent Network and Gigster’s Global Solution Delivery platform.
Gigster’s growth over the past 12 months has been distinguished by traction in the enterprise market, which now represents over 70% of its projects. A significant part of this growth stems from Gigster’s collaboration with Google as a machine learning service partner in its Cloud AI Partner program.
