BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Feb. 07, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, today announced the promotion of Kurt Barton to Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Barton is being promoted from his current position as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective immediately.

Mr. Barton, who has been with Tractor Supply since 1999, most recently served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Tractor Supply since March 2017. He was named Senior Vice President, Controller and Assistant Corporate Secretary in February 2016 and served as Vice President, Controller and Assistant Corporate Secretary from February 2009 to January 2016. Upon joining Tractor Supply, he held various other leadership roles in both accounting and internal audit throughout the period of 1999 thru 2009. Prior to joining Tractor Supply, Mr. Barton, a Certified Public Accountant, began his career in public accounting in 1993, spending six years at Ernst & Young, LLP.
