UAHC Subsidiary American Sustainable Rubber Company, LLC Appoints Leading Plant Researcher Dr. Katrina Cornish as Scientific Advisor

CHICAGO, Feb. 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- United American Healthcare Corporation (OTC: UAHC), an emerging technology holding company, today announced the appointment of Dr. Katrina Cornish as scientific advisor of its wholly-owned subsidiary American Sustainable Rubber Company, LLC (“ASR”), an indoor agriculture technology company focused on creating a domestic solution to natural rubber production.

Dr. Cornish has over thirty years of experience working in rubber biosynthesis and alternative feedstocks in the Government, Commercial, and University sectors. She is the Ohio Research Scholar and Endowed Chair of Bio Emergent Materials at The Ohio State University. Dr. Cornish is a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and CEO of EnergyEne, Inc.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Katrina Cornish supporting our research and development team as scientific advisor of American Sustainable Rubber,” said Timothy Madden, President of ASR. “Dr. Cornish is a globally known expert on genetic modification and biochemistry of alternative rubber plants, as well as rubber and latex production, processing, and products. She is the original researcher who demonstrated that rubber could be sourced from hydroponic plants and from genetically altered plants, which we plan to leverage to commercial and scale natural rubber production. Having her as an advisor to our team is a nod to our strategic plan to bring a natural rubber supply to the United States. We believe that her years of experience working in the rubber and plant science industries, paired with her research capabilities, will enable us to achieve our mission and change natural rubber production as we know it.”

Dr. Cornish currently leads a program on alternative rubber production, bio-based fillers, and exploitation of opportunity feedstocks from agriculture and food processing wastes for value-added products and biofuels, among her other projects. She has authored over 250 papers and holds 20 patents.

“I am honored to be appointed scientific advisor of ASR and look forward to working closely with Timothy Madden, President of ASR, and the entire team on creating a natural rubber solution for the United States market at a commercial and sustainable level,” said Dr. Cornish. “I am passionate about the work that ASR is doing and look forward to bringing the vision to fruition.”
