ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 04, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nisos, a technology enabled cyber security and investigations firm, has brought on Jennifer DeTrani as EVP and General Counsel to lead its legal department as part of its executive team. DeTrani will continue to work with secure messaging app, Wickr, in a limited role as Special Advisor and Co-Founder.  

At Nisos, DeTrani will continue to focus on cybersecurity as part of a team of former U.S. government intelligence operators who employ “active defense” methodologies to defend the private sector from loss of intellectual property and reputational value from malicious actors and insider threats. Nisos recently raised over $6 million in its series A funding, led by Columbia Capital. It’s a homecoming of sorts for DeTrani, who grew up in Northern Virginia and spent time in the government as an Assistant U.S. Attorney.

DeTrani began her legal career at Cooley LLP. Prior to her time at Wickr, she worked with start-up companies in her private practice in San Diego. She holds a J.D. from University of Michigan and received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.
