No Residents Harmed in Fire at Chardonnay at Wells Branch


AUSTIN, Texas, March 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Sunday, March 10th at approximately 9:30 p.m. a fire broke out at Chardonnay at Wells Branch apartment community in Austin, TX. The Pflugerville and City of Austin Emergency responders were on the scene at 1801 Wells Branch Pkwy. Fire alarms went off notifying residents to evacuate. All residents and their pets were safely removed from the building. Damage was contained to Building #24 on the southeast end of the property with a total of 32 units affected by the fire.

Red Cross was present on the scene and management is working with residents to find new homes for those affected and getting others back into their homes once the fire marshal releases the building. At this time, the building has not been released back to management or ownership.

“The biggest concern is the safety and well-being of our residents,” said a representative for Lincoln Property Company. “We will do everything within our power to make sure our residents are taken care of.” The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing and no information has been released at this time.
