AEXOS™ Fulfills Kickstarter Preorders and Celebrates Customer Satisfaction from Positive First Impressions of HALO™

The cutting-edge compression equipment aims to reduce whiplash injuries associated with concussions in high-impact sports, careers and more

WATERLOO, Ontario, March 18, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AEXOS (Advanced Exoskeletal Systems), a design and technology company advancing anatomical support in a wide range of applications, today announces the first shipment of HALO units are arriving to customers with overwhelmingly positive feedback and satisfaction. AEXOS celebrates this major company milestone after a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised nearly $130 thousand, well surpassing the company’s goal.

HALO is revolutionary compression equipment with a highly engineered collar designed to reduce whiplash of the head and neck in high intensity sports. Founders and brothers, Charles and Rob Corrigan, utilized significant advances in material science and studied ways to stabilize parts of the body in high impact environments to develop HALO. The SMARTCORE™ technology embedded in the HALO collar momentarily stiffens during a whiplash event, improving neck stability while reducing risk of injury. The collar is built into a compression shirt that provides postural support and works with the natural movements of an athlete, without affecting range of motion or mobility.

The shipping announcement comes on the heels of AEXOS signing an exclusive supplier deal with Canada Snowboard, giving the national snowboard team access to HALO. AEXOS also recently teamed up with professional athlete Derek Livingston, a two-time Canadian Olympic Halfpipe Snowboarder, and their first female professional athlete, Brooke Voigt, a Canadian Olympic Slopestyle Snowboarder. HALO has also been recognized by Safe4Sport (a division of Stop Concussions Foundation) for its ability to improve the safety of athletes.

“From HALO’s initial launch on Kickstarter to professional athletes now wearing HALO in various sporting events, we’ve been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the sports community,” said Charles Corrigan, Founder and CEO of AEXOS. “Our mission remains the same: enhance the safety of high-impact sports without compromising mobility or performance. Shipping HALO to customers is a huge milestone for us and we’re eager to see where we can continue to expand, from sports and hobbies to careers and more.”

With Kickstarter fulfillments behind them, AEXOS is now immediately shipping units to all customers upon placing an order, with both the HALO and HALO Junior (for children ages 6+) available now. The HALO Cut-Proof Neck Guard, designed specifically for hockey athletes, is available for pre-order only.
