“Exercising the mind and body daily, as well as socializing, are key recommendations for active aging which I recommend to everyone, no matter their age,” said Kenneth Cooper, MD, MPH, Founder and Chairman of Cooper Aerobics.

With this program addition, Cooper Fitness Center offers two classes, MLC Move and MLC Cycle, ideal for older adults with limited mobility, stability and other health issues, as well as adults wanting to improve brain health and fitness. Participants experience a variety of exercises to preserve functionality, embrace humor and actively engage with fellow classmates in a safe, relaxing environment. Specific class activities are incorporated to enhance joint mobility and breathing efficiency, muscular endurance and strength, brain fitness and motor control, including balance, coordination, rhythm and gait training.

“We are pleased to provide an environment for adults to safely exercise, socialize and have fun with their fitness, whether they have limited mobility or health issues,” said Carla Sottovia, PhD, Cooper Fitness Center Director of Fitness and Personal Training Education and Move.Laugh.Connect.
