Burr Ridge, April 12, 2019

CNH Industrial (NYSE: CNHI /MI: CNHI) hosted President Neel Kashkari of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, along with other representatives of the bank and local business leaders, to its Case IH, New Holland Agriculture, CASE Construction Equipment and New Holland Construction facility on Wednesday, April 3. The Minneapolis Fed, with one branch in Helena, Montana, serves six states of the Ninth Federal Reserve District: North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, 26 counties in northwestern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This was President Kashkari’s first visit to the Fargo facility.

“It is a privilege to represent the employees of CNH Industrial and welcome guests to our facility on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Case IH Steiger tractor in Fargo.  This Plant has a legacy of innovation in the design, testing and manufacturing of products for customers around the world, in both the Agriculture and Construction segments,” said Aditya Garg, Fargo Plant Manager. “Fostering an important discussion about manufacturing and our industries with distinguished guests, and demonstrating the transformation of raw steel into the finest 4WD tractors and large wheel loaders within our integrated World Class Manufacturing facility, illustrates our dedication to supporting the communities where we live and work.”

The event, which included a plant tour as well as a round table discussion, also welcomed representatives from North Dakota State University and local business leaders from local companies including Titan Machinery, Amity Technology, RDO Equipment and WCCO Belting, among others.

“In order to make good economic policy, it is important that we gain useful and timely information about the economy. We spend a lot of time looking at data, but that’s not good enough; it is especially helpful to talk to a diverse array of businesses so they may share their experiences and tell us about the real issues they face,” said Joseph Mahon, Regional Outreach Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. “Manufacturing and agriculture remain critical in the region’s economy, and I was thrilled to visit the CNH Industrial facility in Fargo and to have the opportunity to learn from the leadership there as well as the other business leaders who joined us.”

Mr. Garg added, “It is important to us, as a member of this business community, to share feedback with policy makers on issues that have a direct impact on our operations, such as workforce development and tariffs.”

The Fargo facility is home to the Company’s most powerful tractor ranges and employs some 675 people, exporting worldwide. The 86-acre site is a dedicated research and development and test equipment facility, as well as an integrated manufacturing plant that produces 4WD tractors for Case IH and New Holland Agriculture, and wheel loaders for CASE and New Holland Construction.

CNH Industrial has 11 manufacturing plants, 12 research and development centers, and a workforce of 9,000 in North America. The Company designs, produces and sells ‘machines for work’ and is present in all major markets worldwide, giving it a unique competitive position.
