HOT Party Debuts at ES Design West, SEMICON West to Benefit SEMI Foundation

Annual Event Hosted by Jim Hogan’s Heart of Technology Philanthropic Organization

MILPITAS, Calif., April 18, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The annual Heart of Technology (HOT) fundraising party sponsored by Jim Hogan, Silicon Valley venture capitalist and software executive, debuts at ES Design West and SEMICON West Tuesday, July 9.

This year’s beneficiary is the SEMI Foundation supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and career awareness in high technology. All proceeds from the event, brought to ES Design West and SEMICON West by the Electronic System Design Alliance, a SEMI Strategic Association Partner, will be contributed to the SEMI Foundation.

Through its High Tech U (HTU) programs, the SEMI Foundation gives high school students a better understanding of how STEM is used to solve real-world problems and lays the groundwork for their entry into STEM educations and careers in high technology. Since 2001, HTU has reached some 8,000 students in 12 states and nine countries.

“We’re starting a new tradition by hosting the HOT Party at ES Design West and SEMICON West,” says Hogan. “SEMI and the ESD Alliance have been terrific in planning and organizing the evening.”

The HOT Party event and fundraiser will be held July 9 at John Colins Lounge in San Francisco from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Badge holders at ES Design West and SEMICON West –– July 9-11 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco –– will be admitted with a suggested minimum $20 donation. Other guests can attend for a donation of $50.

ES Design West, hosted by the ESD Alliance, is the only event in North America that links the electronic system and semiconductor design community with the electronic product manufacturing and supply chain. Registration and program details can be found at: https://bit.ly/2K7CAJk
