NACD Announces General Lester L. Lyles as Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree

Board Leaders to Be Recognized at NACD Directorship 100 Gala in June


WASHINGTON, April 19, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the authority on boardroom practices representing more than 20,000 corporate board members, today announced that General Lester L. Lyles, US Air Force (Ret.), will receive the 2019 NACD B. Kenneth West Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lyles is chair of the board of the United Service Automobile Association (USAA), and he also serves on the boards of General Dynamics Corp., KBR Inc., and Battelle Memorial Institute. He was selected on the basis of distinguished service as a board member over an extended period of time. He has demonstrated dedication to the improvement of corporate governance practices, as evidenced by his reputation for excellent leadership in the business community and among his peers.

The NACD Directorship 100™ is an annual recognition of the leading corporate directors, corporate governance experts, policymakers, and influencers—leaders who significantly impact boardroom practices and performance. Other 2019 honorees include these:
