Swimlane announces Channel Program, Technical Alliances Program and Linux Deployment

Partner programs and DevOps capabilities increase collaboration

Denver, April 24, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Swimlane, a leader in security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), today announced it has launched a Channel Program and Technical Alliances Program. The SOAR solution is also now available on Linux with support for Docker and Kubernetes, allowing for an improved DevSecOps approach to cybersecurity.

Gartner recently reported that “by 2021, 70% of enterprise organizations with a dedicated SOC [security operations center] will include SOAR capabilities, up from less than 5% in 2018.”  As SOAR gains momentum because of its ability to mitigate alert fatigue and empower SOCs to do more with less, enterprises will need to implement SOAR solutions in their own environments. Swimlane’s partnership programs will make that easier.

Swimlane Channel Program
Swimlane’s Channel Program includes a tiered certification program that enables our partners to put SOAR capabilities—by way of demos and proof of concepts (POCs)—in front of those who need them most. Based on their level of engagement, partners can also be trained to provide professional services for the Swimlane platform.

“SOAR is an impactful solution that provides the automation necessary for any enterprise to keep up with an ever-evolving threat landscape,” said Swimlane CEO Cody Cornell. “We have built our channel program to reward partners who can lead and drive business.”

The Channel Program includes:

  • A tiered certification program, which allows for members to become Swimlane SOAR experts.
  • Variable discounts for channel-in and channel-out opportunities.
  • An easy-to-understand pricing model based on the number of end users with no cost for alerts, actions, or integrations.

“There is tremendous opportunity in the SOAR space, and Swimlane is primed for growth in 2019,” said Tevora Executive Vice President of Sales Steve Stumpfl.

Current Channel Program members include Bayside Solutions, GuidePoint, Mission Critical, Tevora and Trace3, among others.

Swimlane Technical Alliances Program
Continuing the mission of maintaining strong partnerships and alliances to address the complexity of security today, the Swimlane Technical Alliances Program helps Swimlane technology partners get better access to the team, product and community.

“As we launch this program, we hope to take an even more collaborative approach to security,” said Cornell. “We’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best vendors in cybersecurity and are thrilled to welcome AWS, Cisco, Graylog, LogRhythm, McAfee, PagerDuty, Symantec and VMRay among our first members.”

The Technical Alliances Program allows vendors to create integrations faster and foster stronger bonds with technology partners.

“We look forward to collaborating with Swimlane through this new alliance program,” said Steve Gross, PagerDuty senior director of strategic ecosystems development. “Our shared approach to security will enable us to bring added capabilities to our customers and ensure they stay well protected.

Since collaboration is reciprocal in nature, Swimlane continues to participate in other organizations’ partnership programs.

“We’re proud Swimlane is part of the Cisco Partner Ecosystem and a member of the Cisco Partner Program,” said Jessica Bair, Cisco senior manager of business development. “Together, we can deliver better integrated solutions to our customers.”

Swimlane on Linux
DevSecOps merges development and operations with security practices in an effort to remove silos and boost information sharing. To move into the DevSecOps space, being able to deploy on top of Linux—an open-source operating system—is critical. With Swimlane 4.0 users can install Swimlane on Linux, with support for Docker and Kubernetes and configure the platform in a way that best suits their unique needs.

Over the last few months, Swimlane has been dedicated to promoting a collaborative approach to cybersecurity, including more information sharing among security operations centers. Other initiatives have included the Hands-Free Security podcast launch—a series bringing together industry thought leaders and subject matter experts for impactful discussions about the security space—and SecOps Hub—a vendor-neutral community of security professionals to share incident response best practices and ways to simplify daily tasks SOAR. This announcement is Swimlane’s latest attempt to emphasize this commitment to collaboration.
