(NASDAQ: ENSG), the parent company of the Ensign™ group of skilled nursing, rehabilitative care services, home health care, hospice care, medical transportation, and assisted living companies, announced today that a subsidiary of Cornerstone Healthcare, Inc., Ensign’s home health and hospice portfolio subsidiary, had acquired the assets of Resolutions Hospice, which operates hospice agencies in Austin and Houston, Texas. The acquisition was effective May 1, 2019.

In separate transactions on the same day, Ensign announced that it acquired (i) the operations of four facilities in California, including The Hills Post Acute, located in Santa Ana, California, St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Rehabilitation, located in Fullerton, California, Villa Maria Post Acute, located in Santa Maria, California and Mainplace Post Acute, located in Orange California and (ii) the operations of two campuses located in Peoria, Arizona and Mesa Arizona, respectively. Each of these acquisitions were also effective May 1, 2019.
With the acquisition, Cornerstone subsidiaries now operate twenty-five home health operations, twenty-six hospice operations, and nine home care operations across twelve states.
Mr. Walker reaffirmed that Cornerstone is actively seeking additional opportunities to acquire both well-performing and struggling home health, hospice, and home care operations across the United States.
