Apprio Appoints Healthcare Leader Donny Zamora to Spearhead Commercial Health Division

Revenue Cycle Management Veteran with 25+ Years of Healthcare Expertise to Advance Apprio’s Fastest Growing Division

WASHINGTON, May 07, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apprio, a leading provider of specialized technology solutions, for the health, defense and homeland security markets, today announced it has appointed Donny Zamora as president of its newly formed commercial healthcare division.

In his new role as president, Zamora is responsible for all activities associated with Apprio’s commercial market strategy within the healthcare revenue cycle management vertical. His responsibilities will include ensuring that Apprio’s commercial division is led by a talented, seasoned group of professionals with concentrated experience in health services technology and revenue cycle management.

Prior to joining Apprio, Zamora served as executive vice president of Bolder Healthcare Solutions, where he managed a team responsible for healthcare revenue cycle management services covering 25 states and a client base of more than 250 hospitals and physician groups.

Zamora brings more than 25 years of leadership, operations and revenue cycle management experience to Apprio, and he has served in similar positions with Parallon, The Outsource Group and Medstandard where he successfully achieved high-volume revenue cycle sales and unsurpassed client service.

“Donny is the perfect team leader to take what we’ve done to modernize healthcare solutions for the government and expand our work into the private sector, bringing the technology, processes and innovations to hospitals and health systems,” said Darryl Britt, Apprio’s president and founder. “Apprio has been successful within the government market for the past 20 years and now is a perfect time to leverage that experience within the commercial vertical. We’re excited to have Donny help us further build a strong team to take us forward with the creation of innovative strategies, leading our health practice into our third decade.”

Apprio will expand its service offerings to include a variety of administrative services and technology solutions for health systems. This includes claims administration, electronic health records, analytics, interoperability, social media analysis, information security and credentialing,  among others.

Apprio currently supports the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and other federal agencies. The firm’s work with the federal government includes engineering and managing programs and technology solutions for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, the Defense Health Agency, HHS National Disaster Medical System, CMS, Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control Prevention.

“This is a dynamic time to be a part of Apprio,” Zamora said. “The opportunity in front of us is massive. We’ll be able to apply 20 years of knowledge about federal health regulations and technology to the private healthcare organizations – and I can personally attest this market will welcome clear guidance about how to work with federal payers and regulators. I truly believe Apprio will be able to make a difference in the wellbeing of health agencies and the people they serve.”
