The Bengtson Center kicked off 2019 with a move into a new, luxuriously modern building, and the changes to benefit Grand Rapids-area plastic surgery patients are now continuing with the addition of a new plastic surgeon to the team. After months of preparations, Dr. David Alfonso will officially join Dr. Brad Bengtson on May 20.
Dr. Bengtson has worked as the sole plastic surgeon at the center for 10 years. In that time, he has sought to expand his center’s capability in order to meet a growing need for exceptional surgical services and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments in the region. Because of his commitment to patient safety and beautiful results, as well as his national reputation, Dr. Bengtson aimed to add an additional board-certified plastic surgeon to the practice only if the new surgeon was truly qualified, talented, and skilled. Dr. Alfonso earned his medical degree at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. His breadth of knowledge and experience allows him to work with a wide range of patients seeking aesthetic services.
He is also well versed in laser treatments and a certified national trainer for nonsurgical BOTOX® and Juvederm® injections as well as being fluent in Spanish.
