VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Partners at Deans Knight Capital Management Ltd. (“Deans Knight”) are pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Conway as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Founder Wayne Deans will become Vice-Chairman and continue as Equity Portfolio Manager and trusted advisor.
Steve will be spearheading the firm’s strategic growth plans, succeeding Wayne, who has served as the CEO of Deans Knight for more than 27 years. “Steve brings a unique combination of leadership, experience and passion to this role and I can’t think of anyone more fitting to take the reins,” said Deans. “By purchasing a significant stake in our firm, Steve demonstrates a true commitment to our clients, aligning his success with theirs.”
Conway’s appointment to CEO became effective on June 30, 2019.

Steve joins Deans Knight with more than 25 years of experience in senior finance roles. Since the late 1990s, he has served as Managing Director at Bankers Trust Company/Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, UBS and Citigroup. He has also held various regional and global leadership roles in leveraged finance and capital markets. Steve brings extensive expertise and relationships within the global securities markets, including debt and equity finance, capital raising and advisory roles in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
Philip Hampson, currently providing oversight for all fixed income investments, will join the Board of Directors as Chairman to guide firm strategy. Dillon Cameron, the Portfolio Manager of the Deans Knight Income Fund, and Kelsey Dunwoodie, Chief Operating Officer, will continue as part of our leadership team.
