Annual TCHC and Jays Care Rookie League Launch Day Activities

Toronto, ON, July 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Toronto Community Housing, in partnership with Jays Care Foundation, is once again organizing a day of athletic fun, free books and special events for young day campers in Toronto.

This year, TCHC and Jays Care Foundation will host 1,000 children from across the city as part of the 31st season of the Rookie League program. Rookie League is a free summer-long baseball day-camp helping to build strong communities by teaching kids the value of teamwork, leadership and fair play.  Rookie League provides paid employment to 100 older teens, who learn about mentorship and develop leadership skills as they earn a summer income.
