Skeljungur hf.: Árni Pétur Jónsson has been hired as a CEO of Skeljungur


The Board of Directores of Skeljungur hf. has hired Árni Pétur Jónsson, as a new CEO of Skeljungur with immediate effect. Árni Pétur finished Cand Oecon from the University of Iceland 1991. Árni Pétur has extensive experience in business operations, large and small. He has worked with companies in international trade, such as Vodafone, Debenhams, Zara, Top Shop and Iceland. Árni was the CEO of Teymi hf. when it was listed in the Icelandic Stock Exchange. Árni has also worked as a managing director at Olís and managing director of Hagar food division overseeing Hagkaup, Bónus and Aðföng. In recent years, Árni Pétur has been the CEO of Tíu Ellefu (10/11)/Iceland and Basko but sold his share in 2016.

Árni Pétur has served as board member in numerous companies, either as a board member or chairman of the board. These include companies such as Lyfja, Securitas, Skeljungur, Penninn, Borgun and Eldum rétt. Árni Pétur has also been involved in the operation of the telephone company Kall in the Faroe Islands and Bónus in the Faroe Islands.
