Press release: Maxima Grupė joined UN Global Compact


Maxima Grupė became a member of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact initiative. By joining the Global network operating already for two decades, Maxima Grupė commits to support 10 Global Compact principles in areas of human rights, environment, labor, and anti-corruption and embraces 17 Sustainable Development Goals that underpin UN Sustainable Development Agenda 2030.

“By joining the Global Compact initiative, we are not only fulfilling our commitments to the investors and society, but we are also seeking to further strengthen corporate responsibility of the group companies. The values promoted by the Compact are relevant and shared by me and my team,” tells Jolanta Bivainytė, CEO of Maxima Grupė.

The UN Global Compact is the largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative since 1999. More than 9 thousand companies take part in the agreement among which there are business, non-governmental organizations and academic institutions from over 160 countries. Maxima Grupė became the thirtieth member from Lithuania to join this initiative.
