Shoppers can look forward to big savings on iPads, Galaxy Tabs, Surface hybrids and Fire Tablets on Amazon Prime Day. Despite more and more tablet brands entering the market, Apple’s line of iPad tablets remains among the best and most popular today. In 2020 alone, Apple added three new iPad models: the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 10.9-inch iPad Air, and the 8th Gen iPad (10.2-inch). An iPad mini was released in 2019, but whether a new one will be released alongside the rumored iPhone 12 is unconfirmed. Apple also released must-have accessories with the iPad tablets: the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. These work with the latest iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad 8, but it’s not designed for use with the iPad mini. 


Another tablet line that has recently gained popularity is Amazon’s Fire tablets. They are among the most affordable tablets out there that don’t scrimp on features. Its latest Fire tablet models include the Fire HD 8, Fire HD 8 Plus, and Fire HD 8 Kids Edition. Another cost-effective alternative to iPad tablets is the Samsung Galaxy Tab line. Its latest models include the 11-inch Galaxy Tab S7 and the 12.4-inch Galaxy Tab S7+. Both tablets boast power that’s comparable to that of a PC housed in a slim, portable slate.


Meanwhile, Microsoft fans who require portability in their device but don’t want to sacrifice performance can choose from Microsoft Surface’s tablets and 2-in-1 laptops. The 10.5 -inch Microsoft Surface Go 2, 12.3-inch Surface Pro 7, and 13-inch Surface Pro X all offer great value for their performance and features. 


Typically taking place in July, the fourth-quarter schedule for Prime Day 2020 makes this year’s event the latest ever for Amazon.
