Aetherium Acquisition Corp. Announces Closing of $115 Million Initial Public Offering, Including Full Exercise of Underwriters’ Over-Allotment Option


Greenwich, Connecticut, Jan. 03, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NewMediaWire -- Aetherium Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: GMFIU, the “Company”) today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 11,500,000 units at an offering price of $10.00 per unit, with each unit consisting of one share of Class A common stock and one redeemable warrant (the “IPO”). This includes the exercise in full by the underwriters of their over-allotment option to purchase an additional 1,500,000 units. Each redeemable warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one share of Class A common stock at a price of $11.50 per share.

The units are listed on The Nasdaq Global Market (“Nasdaq”) and began trading under the ticker symbol “GMFIU” on December 30, 2021. Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the Class A common stock and the warrants are expected to be traded on Nasdaq under the symbols “GMFI” and “GMFIW,” respectively.  

As of January 3, 2022, a total of $116,725,000 of the net proceeds from the IPO and the private placement of private units to the Company’s sponsor, were deposited in a trust account established for the benefit of the Company’s public stockholders.
