Greater Sacramento Travels to Washington D.C. for SelectUSA

Business Development team focuses on recruiting global companies at international summit


Sacramento, CA, June 30, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC) business development team traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the international SelectUSA investment summit as part of a record-sized California delegation led by the state’s Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis. The U.S. government program led by the U.S. Department of Commerce focuses on facilitating job-creating business investment into the United States and raising awareness of the critical role that economic development plays in the U.S. economy.

Greater Sacramento met with over 20 international companies to explain the momentum throughout the Sacramento region and why it’s a great place to do business. This conference is the leader in foreign direct investment (FDI) for national economic development groups and had its best year ever with over 3,600 attendees from 80+ global markets.
