Cork Launches Early Access Program in Canada

Expansion driven by significant early demand from Canadian resellers to close the gap in financial coverage experienced by their customers; allCare IT and Silicon Valley Services are the first Canadian MSPs to standardize on Cork.

BOSTON, Oct. 25, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cork, the cyber warranty company for MSPs serving small businesses and the ISV solutions they manage, today announced that it is launching its Early Access Program (EAP) in Canada. Now, MSPs across North America can deliver cyber assurance to SMBs. Cork is also announcing the general availability of the Cork Protection platform to U.S.-based MSPs starting November 1.

“The expansion of the Cork Early Access Program into Canada and the general availability of our platform in the U.S. is a significant milestone for Cork and our MSP partners,” said Carlson Choi, CEO of Cork. “Since its launch in the U.S. earlier this year, the program has seen significant demand across North America from MSPs wanting to close the gap in cyber financial coverage their SMB customers face. Canadian-based MSPs alone account for 20% of the early interest in the program. This high demand for the Cork Protection platform validates its uniqueness and the value proposition it offers to the MSP community. We are thrilled to collaborate with Canadian partners who have been eagerly waiting to offer our platform to their customers and expect this program to reach full capacity quickly.”

Cork is the world’s first cyber warranty company that offers Protection from the Inside Out™ with a data-driven active risk management solution. The Cork Protection platform actively monitors, detects, and remediates risks while utilizing real-time data telemetry to assess cyber risk, ensuring a secure environment and providing quick financial coverage in the form of immediate payment in the event of security incidents. The program is designed to supplement existing cyber insurance policies or serve as a standalone solution.

“Canadian managed service providers have been expressing their concerns regarding cyber insurance, and our offering is designed to assist end clients in ensuring that they have adequate coverage,” said Urvish Badiani, Channel Chief & Advisor of Cork. “As U.S.-based MSPs have already discovered, the Cork platform enables them to standardize their toolset proactively to minimize financial losses and prevent the need to activate financial coverage. If they need to activate it, we provide instant funding relief and fast claim payouts.”

First Canadian MSPs join Cork EAP

With the launch of the EAP in Canada, Cork is welcoming allCare IT and Silicon Valley Services as the first Canadian MSPs to standardize on Cork.

allCare IT, based in Kingston, Ontario, is a trusted partner focused on simplifying IT and cybersecurity for its SMB customers. Andy Larin, Founder and CEO, sees immediate value in the Cork Protection platform. “What Cork provides is an innovative solution to a problem that I’ve seen many businesses struggle with. With Cork, we can offer our clients immediate, comprehensive, and affordable peace of mind and protection. It is a perfect complement to our IT and cybersecurity service offerings which allows us to offer even more value to our clients,” he said. “The people at Cork are a talented and experienced team who I trust and respect deeply and who I feel privileged to partner with.”

Silicon Valley Services, a provider of IT solutions and services based in Embrun, Ontario, has also added the Cork Protection platform to its suite of managed services. “In today's world, cyber threats are constantly evolving, and traditional insurance policies may not fully cover the risks associated with such threats. Cork’s unique approach to cyber protection identifies potential risks that may result in denied claims under traditional policies,” said Jim Cooper, CEO, Silicon Valley Services. “By covering immediate losses, such as business interruption and incident response, with Cork, our customers gain the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are fully protected against financial risk.”
