Key takeaways:

  • Named a Leader: Qlik has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Data Intelligence Platform Software 2026 Vendor Assessment.
  • Trust made measurable: Qlik Talend Trust Score® and Qlik Trust Score for AI help teams determine whether data is suitable for a specific use, using metadata-driven signals across quality, freshness, and usage.
  • Context stays connected: Qlik links governed data products and business definitions to analytics and approved AI tools across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems.

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Qlik, a data integration, data quality, analytics, and AI company, today announced it has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Data Intelligence Platform Software 2026 Vendor Assessment (Doc #US54118226, August 2026).

AI can now produce answers, recommend actions, and trigger workflows faster than most organizations can verify the data behind them. That raises a basic question: can teams show where the data came from, what changed, and whether it is suitable for the decision at hand?

Qlik connects those signals. It measures whether data may be fit for a specific use, traces how it changes across systems, supports the correction of quality issues, and carries governed data and business meaning into analytics and approved AI tools. Customers can do this across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems without moving everything to a single provider.

“AI does not make unreliable data more reliable. It makes the consequences harder to contain,” said Matt Hayes, General Manager, Data Business Unit, Qlik. “Before a dashboard, model, or agent is trusted, teams need to know where its data came from, how it changed, and how fit it is for that use. Qlik makes that evidence visible and keeps it connected as data moves into analytics and AI workloads, without forcing customers into one data stack.”

“Data intelligence is moving from documenting data to helping organizations decide what can be used, by whom, and for what,” said Stewart Bond, Vice President, Data Intelligence and Integration Software, IDC. “Qlik connects data quality, lineage, governance, and business meaning across data products, analytics, and AI. That is useful for enterprises that need consistent control across mixed technology environments.”

Qlik believes being named a Leader reflects four areas of continued investment:

What’s new

  • Measure data fitness and correct issues: Qlik Trust Score and Qlik Trust Score for AI combine metadata-driven quality, timeliness, and usage signals into a measure that can be tracked over time. Data stewards can correct, standardize, match, and deduplicate data before it reaches reports, applications, or AI.
  • Trace data from source to use: More than 275 native metadata bridges capture field-level lineage and transformation logic across databases, SQL, stored procedures, dbt, Spark, semantic layers, and BI tools. Teams can assess the effect of a change before it reaches a report, data product, or AI application.
  • Carry governance into analytics and AI: Data products can include ownership, quality, lineage, and access controls. Teams can build Qlik analytics applications from those products, make governed KPI and metric definitions available to people and AI agents, and extend controlled access through MCP and OData APIs.
  • Work across existing systems: Qlik supports cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployment across major data environments. Customers can modernize in stages and preserve choice as their requirements change.

Qlik delivers these capabilities through Qlik Talend Cloud®, Talend® Data Catalog, and Qlik Cloud Analytics®.
