STV Acquires California-Based Utility Power Engineering Firm CHAMPS, Inc.


NEW YORK, NY, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STV Group, Incorporated, a leading professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced it has acquired Southern California-based utility power engineering firm CHAMPS, Inc. 

CHAMPS, Inc., will now be known as CHAMPS, an STV Company. The firm provides substation engineering and design from conceptual planning through construction and energization, along with engineering studies, protection, control and automation, design packages, quality assurance and construction support for such clients as Southern California Edison.

The firm also led the development and evaluation of alternatives for the LAX Landside Access Modernization Program and provided program management/construction management (PM/CM) and project controls services for the addition of nine new gates in Terminal 3 at LAX.
