“Trasta komercbanka”, JSC (TKB) concluded the first half of 2009.gada with a profit of 1,2 million lats as shown in the Bank's audited performance results for the first half of 2009. According to the audited financial data the volume of assets ofTrasta komercbanka as of 30 June 2009 amounted to 198 million lats. In the first six months of 2009, the amount of deposits attracted by TKB reached 138.8 million lats. The loan portfolio of the Bank as of 30 June 2009 amounted to 108.4 million lats, but capital and reserves - 35.8 million lats. During this period, the Bank significantly increased its provisions for bad loans - up to 8% of the total Bank's loan portfolio. In the first half of 2009, TKB posted a profit of 1.2 million lats which according to the earned profit amount provides it a solid place in the top three leading banks of Latvia. In the first half of 2009, Trasta Komercbanka maintained strong indicators of profitability - as of 30 June 2009 the Bank's capital adequacy was 16:19% but liquidity - 46.24%. Bank's return on equity ROE by the end of the first half year was 6.73% while return on assets ROA - 1.04%. However, the consolidation group of TKB (“TKB Nekustamie īpašumi”, “TKB Līzings” un “Misto Bank”) closed the first six months of this year with losses in the amount of 2.3 million lats, mainly due to losses of Misto Bank. The assets of the consolidation group amounted to 241.2 million lats. Despite the tight economic situation in Latvia and worldwide, in the first half of 2009, Trasta komercbanka continued its successful development in both the internal and external markets. This year, on 30 March, TKB launched a new Customer Service Centre, at 1 Palasta Street, which now serves as the Bank's head office, but the building at 9 Miesnieku Street was transformed into Customer Business Development Centre which handles issues related to lending, leasing and financing of trading operations, and dealing with other financial solutions that are instrumental for business development. Continuing its growth and strengthening its market position in Central Asia, in the first half of 2009, Trasta komercbanka registered a representative office in Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan. It is the second Bank's representative office in this region - a TKB representative office has been working in Kazakhstan since 2004. This year, Trasta komercbanka is celebrating its 20th anniversary, which proves TKB experience, stability and successful operation in the financial market of Latvia and international financial markets.
