New ETF's ThinkCapital offer cost efficient global exposure
BinckBank subsidiary ThinkCapital introduces four new trackers
ThinkCapital is launching four new Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs or trackers) on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange of NYSE Euronext. Due to the sharp pricing of management fees by ThinkCapital the funds provide private investors the same price conditions which are currently restricted to institutional parties.
With this new offering of trackers (ETFs), ThinkCapital offers their clients global diversification. Besides the dividend and cost benefits of ETFs, the Dutch fund provider has added a third distinguishing quality in its Global Equity and Global Real Estate Trackers. The index is constructed on an equal weight basis. Giving each index stock an equal weight gives the investor a better diversification than an index weighted on the basis of market capitalisation.
The new trackers are:
· Think Global Equity Tracker invests in 250 large listed stocks worldwide, management fee 0.20%;
· Think Global Real Estate Tracker invests in 25 listed real-estate stocks worldwide, management fee 0.25%;
· Think iBoxx Corporate Bond Tracker invests in global corporate bonds listed in euros, management fee 0.15%;
· Think iBoxx Government Bond Tracker invests in government bonds issued by the euro countries, management fee 0.15%.
"The expansion of our ETF range provides Dutch investors with an attractive alternative to actively managed investment funds, which are popular but also expensive", says Martijn Rozemuller, Managing Director of ThinkCapital. "After making the Dutch AEX® and MIDKAP® indices accessible to investors, we are now adding global indices. Just like the Dutch indices, these global indices will benefit from ThinkCapital's tax structure which minimises dividend drag problems."
Since December 2009, five ThinkCapital trackers have been listed on NYSE Euronext; Think AEX Tracker, Think MIDKAP Tracker and three Total Market Trackers: Think TMT Defensief, Think TMT Neutraal and Think TMT Offensief. All trackers of ThinkCapital are UCITS compliant. This enables them for a listing on international exchanges, next to the listing on Euronext Amsterdam.
ETFs or trackers are investment funds traded on the stock exchange. An ETF closely follows a particular index, or a combination of indices according to a previously established pattern. The funds combine the simplicity of equities with the advantages of diversification risk of investment funds. A further benefit is the low level of management fees associated with this type of passive investment.
