Appointments to Carlsberg Executive Committee

Carlsberg today announces the following changes to its Executive Committee:

Roy Bagattini (46) has been appointed Senior Vice President for the Asia region.
He joins Carlsberg from SABMiller where he was the Regional Managing Director   
for Eastern Europe. Prior to that, he has held senior general management        
positions in South Africa and the USA as well as being the country Managing     
Director of SABMiller in India, China and Italy. Roy Bagattini who will be based
in Hong Kong, is on board in Carlsberg by the end of September.                 

Jørn Tolstrup Rohde (48) has been appointed Senior Vice President for the       
Northern Europe region. He comes from a position as President & CEO of the      
service company 3C GROUPS A/S and L'EASY A/S. He was previously an executive of 
the Carlsberg Group where he among other things headed the development of the   
Commercial Excellence project. 2004-2007 he was CEO of Carlsberg Danmark. Jørn  
Tolstrup Rohde will join Carlsberg 15 August.                                   

Jesper Friis (40) has been appointed Senior Vice President for Western Europe.  
Jesper Friis who has been with Carlsberg since 2005, is currently CEO of        
Ringnes, Carlsberg's Norwegian subsidiary. Jesper Friis takes over the position 
from Nils Østbirk who joined Carlsberg five months ago but now leaves the Group.
Ole Petter Wie, currently Sales Director, Ringnes, will succeed Jesper Friis as 
CEO of Ringnes. Jesper Friis will begin in his new role 1 August.               

Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen, President & CEO of the Carlsberg Group said:

ability to lead international organisations successfully through change. I am   
sorry that it didn't work out with Nils Østbirk; the reason is not lack of      
commercial performance but about chemistry."
