New President for SCA Packaging appointed

SCA appoints Michael Cronin as President for its European Packaging operations.

Michael Cronin, of Irish origin, has more than 30 years of experience within
Alcan Packaging/Rio Tinto where he has held various senior positions of
increasing responsibility dealing with complex and multicultural business as
well as customers. 

Michael Cronin has unsurpassed experience from the packaging business. In his
position as President of our European Packaging business Michael will have a
strong focus on improving our profitability in our packaging operations, says
Jan Johansson, president and CEO for SCA.

As President of SCA Packaging, Michael Cronin is a member of the SCA's Corporate
Senior Management Team.

He will assume his position with SCA on March 7, 2010.
