TransAtlantic wins public tender process

In the face of competition, TransAtlantic has won the public tender process
comprising the technical operation and manning of the Swedish government's five
state icebreakers. TransAtlantic took over operation of the state ice breakers
in June 2008 and the new contract for the Swedish Maritime Administration
extends until 2015.

In cooperation with the Maritime Administration,TransAtlantic is conducting a
lifetime extension project for the state icebreakers. This includes adaptation
of the vessels to enable them to operate in such areas as the Arctic. The
cooperation with the Maritime Administration gives TransAtlantic a broader
market offering in relation to its customers. This renewed assignment reinforces
TransAtlantic's position in the offshore sector as the leading global shipping
company with the ability to operate in Arctic areas.

In adddition to its own fleet and the Swedish Maritime Administration's vessels,
TransAtlantic also mans Atlantic Container Lines' (ACL) container/roro fleet.
Overall, TransAtlantic mans 34 vessels with a total of 1 000 employees.
