NMOA's Biggest Hot Product Contest Ever

The Search for the Most Unique and Interesting Products `Made In America'

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb.6, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- It can happen! Some lucky manufacturer could "strike-it-rich" if their product happens to be chosen by the National Mail Order Association (NMOA) as one of the best products "Made in America."

"You never know where those next hot products will come from," said John Schulte, NMOA Chief Manager. "And we're out to find them. Once again we're searching every state in the Union to find the best products made right here in America. (Including U.S. possessions.) We want to start this new millennium with a BANG!"

For the first time, starting this year, the NMOA will accept unlimited entries in the contest. Past contests had a 500-entry limit.

"With serious competition from foreign imports, American manufacturers need all the help they can get," added Schulte, "and this is the perfect way for them to get some vitally needed publicity and exposure for their product(s)."

All valid entries will enjoy being featured free in "Mail Order Digest," the NMOA's international newsletter. Mail Order Digest goes to mail order companies, catalog companies, infomercial companies, and other direct marketers -- nationally and internationally. If one or more of these direct marketing companies picks a product to sell and it turns out to be a hot seller, truckloads could be sold in just a short time. The winner from each state will receive a beautiful, frameable certificate of recognition and a winner's publicity kit. Winners will also have their product featured on the NMOA Web site for an entire year for free. And because the winning products will be exposed to thousands of direct marketers from around the world, chances for lucrative export opportunities are also added to the pot. Winners also have a good chance of getting extra publicity in their local media just like winners from past years.

"We've even had a winner get written about in a book," said Schulte.

Manufacturers of all sizes are invited to participate -- including the one-man shop. Products can be of any type and can be for the general consumer or for businesses. Also new this year, "Best of Category" awards will be given. Firms wishing to enter a product can get an entry form at the NMOA Web site, http://www.nmoa.com/contest, or by sending a SASE to NMOA headquarters (2807 Polk Street NE, Minneapolis MN 55418-2954 USA). Completed entries must be submitted no later than Dec. 31, 2001. NMOA will confirm receipt of entries and notify winners by mail.
