FINNAIR PLC INVESTOR NEWS 6.10.2008 FINNISH COMPETITION AUTHORITY APPROVED AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE JOINT VENTURE Finnish Competition Authority has approved a transaction, in which Finnair Plc and Finncomm Oy formed a joint venture Finnish Aircraft Maintenance Oy (FAM). The new company is specialised in maintenance services for regional aircraft. Finnair and Finncomm Airlines each own 50 per cent of the company. The Civil Aviation Authority granted FAM an aircraft maintenance licence at the beginning of August, at which time the company started operating as part of Finncomm Group.
