General Services Administration Awards Northrop Grumman Alliant Contract


RESTON, Va., April 22, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Alliant contract to deliver cost-effective information technology solutions to the U.S. federal government for improved service and increased efficiency.

Northrop Grumman is one of 59 companies that received awards under the Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract. Alliant's ceiling is valued at up to $50 billion for all task order awards over five base years with one, five-year option.

"Northrop Grumman brings experience in providing comprehensive information technology solutions that support the complete enterprise life-cycle for all levels of the federal government," said Dave Ryan, vice president for business development at Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector. "We will provide the best value to help the federal government achieve their mission application needs."

Northrop Grumman will lead teams that will compete for task orders under Alliant to provide computer network support, software engineering and other computer services to civilian agencies and the Defense Department. Northrop Grumman's teammates include approximately 50 large and small businesses. Work on the contract will be conducted worldwide.

Alliant is a replacement contract for the GSA Millennia and ANSWER contracts, which Northrop Grumman has held since 1999.
