Country Music Star Kellie Pickler to Appear on eQuest's American Dream Radio Series

American Idol Star, Recording Artist and CMA Award Winner Talks With Kristin Best About Her Musical Journey From Small Town Girl to Gold Record Sensation

SAN RAMON, CA and LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 18, 2011) - Since appearing on American Idol in 2005 at the age of only 19, songstress Kellie Pickler has made a name for herself among country music's elite. Though she came in at 6th place on the hit television show, she charmed audiences and parlayed her talent into a wildly successful career -- and her star only continues to rise.

In 2007, she won an ASCAP Songwriter Award for "Red High Heels." In 2008, she brought home multiple wins, including an ASCAP Songwriter Award; CMT Best Performance of The Year Award; and CMA Best Performance Award, all for her hit "I Wonder." Kellie has since continued to receive award nominations and industry recognition, including several Billboard hits, and is currently recording her 3rd studio album.

Kellie recently sat down with Kristin Best, host of the American Dream series -- a radio show broadcast to over 177 countries via the Armed Forces Radio Network. Each week hundreds of thousands of soldiers stationed around the globe tune in to hear the amazing stories of ex-service people who have achieved incredible success after leaving the service, or interviews with celebrities like Kellie, who contribute their time and talents to the US Armed Forces, in support and appreciate of their service.

Kellie has participated in four USO tours. The first, in late 2007 and early 2008, took her to Iraq; the second, in December 2008, included stops in Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, and England. In January 2010, Pickler made stops in Iraq and Kuwait on a 10-day tour with Randy Houser and Jamey Johnson. Most recently she performed with Joan Jett for the troops at Forward Operating Base Liberty in Iraq as part of the 2011 USO Tour.

Kellie's American Dream interview is set to air in January 2012.

The series is part of eQuest's OFCCP Compliance Veterans Out Reach program.
