As President, Jim will lead the respected organization through the next phase of growth, help carry out its mission of aligning the industry through sharing of ideas that foster efficiency, provide education and knowledge programs, and develop and disseminate content that supports those goals. With a vision of providing a platform for broad industry participation, sharing and advancing leading operating practices that enable and improve efficiency, he is uniquely qualified for this important role.
Jim Fitzpatrick brings over 30 years of experience to this position, and is a former NICSA board member who most recently was President of Executive Business Coaching, Inc. where he specialized in corporate strategy and executive development. Previously, Jim was a Managing Director within Goldman Sachs Asset Management at the time of his retirement in 2011. In 1997, he was recruited to lead the build out of GSAM's Global Transfer Agency and Shareholder Services capabilities and later assumed leadership responsibilities within Third Party Distribution for Global Liquidity Sales and Strategic Alliances. Jim was an officer of the Goldman Sachs Funds for fourteen years and currently serves as an Independent Trustee for the Hays Series Trust. Jim began his career with The Boston Company in fund operations and was later promoted to Vice President and General Manager at First Data Investor Services Group for the surviving entity, First Data Corporation. Jim is a 1983 graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, MA. Wilbanks Partners assisted with this search.
