Engine Group’s Trailer Park Launches Marquee

Led by Jake Katz, New Strategy Division Provides Next Gen Insights and Advisory Services around Content

LOS ANGELES, March 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Trailer Park, the leading full-service agency specializing in content creation and entertainment marketing, announced today the launch of a newly built strategy division named Marquee. The new division provides next-gen insights and advisory services to entertainment clients looking to navigate today’s complex media landscape. Marquee is led by Jake Katz, Senior Vice President of Strategy, and launches with two new additions to the team – Cristina Lucero as Director of Trends Research and Peterson Berg as a Multi-Platform Strategist.

Marquee will tap into a national and real-time panel of leading-edge media consumers that will function like an advisory board. Panel insights, combined with additional consumer research and behavioral data, will expand Trailer Park’s capabilities in providing clients with dynamic creative, campaign optimization and intelligence around platform monetization.

The new division also distributes a series of products on an ongoing basis, including weekly insights-led editorial, and provides next-gen entertainment workshops and client residences that provide onsite consulting and strategic planning services.

“The content landscape is changing and we are living in an era of more questions than answers,” said Rick Eiserman, North American CEO of Engine Group. “Changing consumer behaviors are disrupting known best practices in how content goes to market. Under Jake’s leadership, Marquee will provide clients necessary consumer intelligence and strategic counsel around emerging best practices in the future of entertainment.”

Katz joined Trailer Park last year and has a strong background in strategy, marketing and insights, especially when it comes to generational behavior. Prior to Trailer Park, he was Vice President of Audience Insights & Strategy at REVOLT, where he was responsible for consumer and distributor strategy, helping architect a linear network within a rapidly changing TV landscape. Prior to REVOLT, Jake was GM of youth insights firm Ypulse, and held innovation roles at MTV and NBCUniversal.

“In this time of changing best practices, clients are increasingly turning to Trailer Park for guidance and thought leadership,” said Katz. "Marquee is an initiative for our clients and the broader entertainment industry. This golden age of video has pulled players across the media landscape into original content, and we are already working across them to provide strategy in how entertainment momentum is built in this new attention economy. Marquee has been staffed with talent that can provide entertainment partners strategy in the three areas that matter most today – brand, digital and culture.”

As Director of Trends Research, Lucero will develop consumer intelligence around the future of entertainment and emerging best practices in how content should go to market. In addition, she will lead Marquee’s advisory panel. Prior to joining Trailer Park, Lucero was the Director of Consumer Research & Insights at Awesomeness TV.

In his role as Multi-Platform Strategist, Berg will provide social and digital strategy to Trailer Park’s media and entertainment clients. Prior to joining the team, he held the role as Strategist, Business Development at Fullscreen Media.

Lucero and Berg join Katz and Ashleigh Edwards, the team’s Brand Strategy lead. Edwards’ brand experience is a fast-growing commodity among entertainment clients, who are increasingly challenged by consumers watching content across many platforms and services without associating their fandom with the responsible publisher and its brand.

Trailer Park plans to continue growing the Marquee team and expanding the division across the agency’s client roster. Click here to receive the Marquee insights newsletter.
