Industry Leaders Meet to Discuss the Benefits and Opportunities for cdma2000 Technology in India
NEW DELHI, India, March 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- On February 23, 2005, the Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) and the CDMA Development Group (CDG) held a cdma2000(R) Workshop in New Delhi to discuss how cdma2000 technologies have contributed to the development of telecommunication services in India. More than 150 participants attended the seminar, representing regulators, operators and vendors from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Canada, China, India, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the U.S. Mr. Rajendra Singh from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and Mr. P.K. Garg, Wireless Advisor to Government of India, were the keynote speakers. Other speakers included representatives from Ericsson, LGE, Lucent, Motorola, Nortel, Qualcomm, Samsung, Spirent, Reliance and Tata.
